As the Winston-Salem Journal headline reads, tensions ran high at Rockingham County Sheriff Sam Page’s showing of the documentary “They Come to America: The Cost of Illegal Immigration.”
A shouting match erupted when a local pro-immigrant group showed up to protest the film. Page “defended the screening of the film, saying he did so to show the people in Rockingham residents how illegal immigration affects their lives.”
