Local angle on the UNC scandal — Greensboro accounting firm Davenport Martin Joyce prepared the just-released three-year-old dental foundation report stating that Tami Hansbrough “did not receive proper approval for a trip to Memphis in which her son, Tyler, was playing for the basketball team in the NCAA Tournament.”
Meanwhile, UNC faculty begs Holden Thorp to stay on as chancellor. Funny, I was thinking just the opposite –Thorp should just leave now, if indeed the situation rates the comparison one longtime professor offered up —the Kent State shootings.
