Feds cite Wake Forest Baptist for monkey uprising

USDA has cited Wake Forest Baptist Hospital for allowing a female monkey to escape and roam Forsyth County for 11 days back in July.

Baptist says it’s fixed the problem — “staff at the primate center installed a chain with a secure latch to the center’s outside corridors to prevent further escapes” —- and the research center will appeal the citation.

As you can probably imagine, PETA is not appeased and says it will “be keeping our eye” on Baptist.
