The N&R’s Doug Clark on Greensboro Mayor-elect Robbie Perkins:
Now Perkins takes over as mayor with a council that looks like it was tailor-made for him.
He’ll have to keep a sharp eye on the budget, too. But, while doing that, he’s got to target resources to initiatives that can make a difference for Greensboro and position the city to rebound strongly when the economy improves.
He’s got a council he can count on for collaboration and support — or, if not, he’s not the leader we think he is.
No worries there —-expect a lot of 8-1 votes —with Trudy Wade being the ’1′. Every initiative ‘targeting resources’ is going to be pencil-whipped right on through. It will be a good time to go the City Council asking for funding.
Update: Dude, how’s it coming on my $4 mil?

Why would he have to keep a sharp eye on the budget? Heck, Congress has been just fine without one for three years.
