Alamance Community College wants to put a $15 million bond referendum on the November ballot to fund a new ‘technology center.’ The college needs three votes on the county commission to do so, and so far they don’t have them. By the way, the county is already grappling with a $9.8 million budget deficit.
Up I 40/85 in G’boro, the N&R weighs in on the city’s difficult decision regarding bond projects, concluding the City Council would be smart to support the $20 million Natural Science Center project, “(e)ven in the uncertain wilderness of this economy.”
