While the N&O still hasn’t named the former staffer who accused N.C. Democratic Party executive director Jay Parmley of sexual harassment, Civitas identifies him as Adriadn Ortega. Civitas describes Ortega as “well known and well liked within Republican circles because he attended several GOP events for the Democratic Party.”
Civitas also makes the case that taxpayers helped fund the hush payment considering the fact that —- as Ortega himself explained— —check offs to political parties come from the General Fund.
