Got a phone call from Dad the Liberal this morning while I was cleaning up the yard on this glorious first day of spring. We chatted for a while before he brought up the healthcare bill. He asked me if I thought it would pass this weekend, and I told him it depended on how many proverbial envelopes of cash the Democrats would pass under the proverbial restroom stall.
The conversation then crossed the aisle, and he threw out a few choice words for North Carolina’s lame Republican senator, while I had a few choice words for North Carolina’s lame Democrat senator.
Then I told him how lame I thought President Obama was about the whole deal.
“Yeah, well, uh, what ya having for lunch?” he asked.
“Turkey and swiss,” I told him.
